Queen Anne Christian Church:
122 Years of Ministry
Faithful. Hopeful. Loving.
Welcome to Queen Anne Christian Church, born in the minds of a group of women in January 15, 1902 forming the Queen Anne Hill Christian Workers Society. We seek to continue their legacy of sharing Christ's Light with our neighborhood. We are a small progressive community of faith dedicated to following The Way of Jesus through worship and learning.
Our worship is Sundays at 10AM, it is simple and traditional as we believe Church is a place of belonging and rejuvenation. We hope when you join us you feel welcomed, connected and loved by us, and the Holy Spirit. Click here to learn more about our long history.

Our Denomination: Christian Church Disciples of Christ
Our Beliefs:
As part of a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world, we proclaim to be part of the one body of Christ and welcome all as God has welcomed us. We do this through communion and baptism, our symbols and practices of unity.
Communion
The Lord’s Supper or Communion is celebrated weekly in worship. It is open to all who seek to follow Jesus Christ. The practice of Holy Communion is central element of worship within the Disciples tradition. Disciples’ observance of the Lord’s Supper echoes the Passover feast, when Jesus shared bread and wine with his disciples on the eve of his crucifixion. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the living Christ is met and received in the sharing of the bread and the cup, representative of the body and blood of Jesus. The presence of the living Lord is affirmed and he is proclaimed to be the dominant power in our lives.
Baptism
Baptism is a public act by which we proclaim God’s grace, as revealed in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, through the use of a visible sign of God’s gracious initiative and our individual response in faith. With other Christians we affirm that baptism is at once a divine gift and a human response. The meaning of baptism is grounded in God’s redemptive action in Christ, it incorporates the believer in the community in the body of Christ, and it anticipates life in the coming age when the powers of the old world will be overcome, and the purposes of God will triumph.
Just as the baptism represents the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, it symbolizes the death and burial of the old self of the repentant believer, and the joyous birth of a brand new life in Christ. The Disciples movement practices baptism by immersion though other forms of the ritual may be practiced as well.
– From Word to the Church on Baptism, Commission on Theology, 1987.
Though baptism is an important ritual, it is not required for attendance, membership or participation. ALL are welcome.

Pastor
Rev. Annie Grogan she/her/hers Hello and welcome to the QACC website! I'm Pastor Annie and I've been the minister with QACC since January 2023. My role as Pastor is to remind us of who we are: beloved children of God uniquely gathered and called.
I studied religion at Bethany College then earned my Master of Divinity from Brite Divinity School. I went on to serve as a chaplain for hospitals, palliative and hospice care. I'm passionate about making faith, spirituality and questions around humanity accessible and relatable, social justice, creation care, reconciliation, and nurturing intergenerational connections. I love exploring museums, coffee shops, music venues, trivia pubs, karaoke bars, and of course, the beautiful outdoors. I am available for officiating weddings and funerals, and also love to pet sit! Have questions? I would love to connect! Instagram Facebook [email protected] |
